What are Kumbh Mela camps?
Kumbh Mela camps are tent cities set up inside the mela grounds for pilgrims to stay through the Kumbh, within walking distance of the bathing ghats. How to choose between the camps
Kumbh Mela camps put you inside the mela — among the akharas, the bhajans and the evening aarti — instead of visiting it each day. On the big snan days roads close to vehicles and everyone walks, so where the camp stands matters most: in Haridwar, Bairagi Camp is the heart of the tent city, Neel Dhara faces Har Ki Pauri across the Ganga, Daksh Dweep sits by the Kumbh parking in Kankhal, and Rishikesh pairs the Kumbh with Triveni Ghat and the ashrams.
Next comes the tent. Deluxe tents are the value choice, Luxury tents add a four-poster king bed, and Royal tents — our largest, on a raised wooden deck — suit families and month-long Kalpwasi stays.
