Three tent interiors, one after another: a tent with twin wooden beds and a patterned rug, then two tents with four-poster beds under mosquito nets, side tables and seating.
Where the Kumbh Mela 2027 camps are
For the Haridwar Ardh Kumbh (14 January – 20 April 2027) there are four camps: Bairagi Camp, inside the main Kumbh tent city; Neel Dhara, across the Ganga from Har Ki Pauri; Daksh Dweep in Kankhal; and Rishikesh, upstream on the Ganga for a quieter stay. Our guide to choosing between the four Haridwar camps compares them.
For the Nashik–Trimbakeshwar Simhastha the camp is in the Tapovan–Panchavati area, for the Amrit Snans on 2 August, 31 August and 11–12 September 2027. For the Ujjain Simhastha (27 March – 27 May 2028) it is in the Mela area, with tents set up for the summer heat.
What you see inside the tents
The clip walks through the tents you can book at every camp. Deluxe tents have twin or double beds; Luxury tents have a four-poster king bed; Royal tents are the largest, on a wooden deck with their own sit-out. Every tent has an attached bathroom with hot water, and meals at the camps are sattvic vegetarian.
