Who we are
Pulp Hotels is a hotel and camp booking platform based in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, with a corporate office in Dehradun. Our travel desk works with pilgrims and travellers on the Char Dham, the Kumbh Mela and Uttarakhand's hill towns every season, and our news and guides are written by that team.
What we publish
News: short, dated reports of announcements that change a trip, such as temple opening and closing dates, Kumbh Mela notices, road closures and weather warnings. Guides: longer articles on places, routes and where to stay. News appears on our News page and is marked with the date and time it was published.
Sources and fact-checking
Every news report is based on an official or first-hand source: temple committees such as the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, the Uttarakhand government and district administrations, the India Meteorological Department, the Kumbh Mela administration, or our own team on the ground. We link the source in the article. A date that has not been officially confirmed is described as expected, never as fixed. We do not publish rumours, unverified figures or invented quotes.
Independence from bookings
Pulp Hotels earns money from bookings. That never decides what we report or how. Links to hotels and camps appear only where they help a reader act on the news, and paid or sponsored content, if we ever publish any, will be clearly labelled as such.
Corrections
