Char Dham Yatra Hotels, Stop by Stop
Verified hotels for every night of the Char Dham Yatra: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath, and the towns pilgrims actually sleep in on the way. Book a stop online, or send us your route and we will plan the stays.
The yatra usually runs west to east: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath, starting from Haridwar, Rishikesh or Dehradun. You stay in base towns rather than at the temples themselves: Barkot, Uttarkashi or Harsil, Guptkashi or Sitapur, and Joshimath or Badrinath. The order, distances and day plan are in our Char Dham route guide; this page is for booking the rooms.
Hotels for Yamunotri
The yatra traditionally starts here. The temple is reached on foot from Janki Chatti, about 6 km up the valley, so most pilgrims sleep in Barkot the night before and leave early. Barkot is also where the road to Uttarkashi and Gangotri turns off.

Char Dham hotel questions
Where should I stay for each of the Char Dham?
Barkot for Yamunotri, Uttarkashi or Harsil for Gangotri, Guptkashi, Sitapur or Gaurikund for Kedarnath, and Badrinath town or Joshimath for Badrinath. Pulp Hotels lists verified hotels at each of these stops.
Can I book all my Char Dham hotels in one place?
Yes. Book each stop on its hotel page, or send your route and dates to the Pulp Hotels desk on WhatsApp or +91 8679008600 and we will suggest a hotel for every night of the yatra.
How early should I book hotels for the Char Dham Yatra?
For May, June and the first weeks after the temples open, book a month or more ahead, especially in Guptkashi, Sitapur and Badrinath, where rooms run out first. September and October are easier.
Do I pay online to book a Char Dham hotel on Pulp Hotels?
It depends on the hotel. Many Char Dham hotels on Pulp take payment at the hotel, and some quote on request; each hotel page shows how that hotel takes payment before you book.
Are the hotels open all year?
Hotels at Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath close with the temples for the winter. Barkot, Uttarkashi, Guptkashi and Joshimath stay open, and Joshimath and Ukhimath are close to the winter seats of the deities.
