Kumbh Mela Camp Price and Tent Booking 2027: What Decides It
Booking a Kumbh Mela camp in Haridwar for 2027? What actually decides a tent's tariff — dates, location, tent type, meals and group size — and how to get a fair quote.

Quick answer: a Kumbh Mela camp price — and the Kumbh Mela tent booking price for Haridwar 2027 — depends mainly on five things — your dates (Amrit Snan days cost the most), the camp's distance from the ghats, the tent type, what meals are included, and how many tents you book. The best way to get a fair rate is to send your exact dates and party size and ask for a written quote that lists what is included. Pulp Hotels quotes every Kumbh camp on request, and you pay at the camp, with nothing charged to ask.

1. Your dates
Nothing moves a Kumbh camp tariff like the calendar. The Haridwar Ardh Kumbh runs from 14 January to 20 April 2027, and demand peaks around the Amrit Snans on 6 March, 8 March and 14 April, followed by Makar Sankranti (14 January) and Mauni Amavasya (6 February). Ordinary days between the big snans are calmer and better value. If you only need to bathe once, staying the night before a snan and leaving the morning after is often the sweet spot. Our Haridwar 2027 dates guide lists every snan.
2. The camp's location
Camps closer to the ghats ask more, because on snan days vehicles stop far away and every kilometre is walked. In Haridwar our camps are at Bairagi Camp in the main tent city, Neel Dhara facing Har Ki Pauri across the Ganga, Daksh Dweep in Kankhal beside the Kumbh parking, and Rishikesh. Each suits a different trip; the desk will tell you the walk to the ghat from each.
3. The tent type
Tents are priced by size and finish. Ours come as Deluxe (twin or double beds, the value choice), Luxury (four-poster king bed, more space) and Royal (our largest, on a raised deck with a private sit-out). All three have attached bathrooms with hot water, so the difference is comfort and space, not basics. See our tent types guide.
4. What is included
Two quotes can look far apart simply because one includes meals and the other does not. Before comparing, check whether the tariff includes:
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner (sattvic vegetarian) or only breakfast
- Morning and evening tea
- Heaters or extra blankets for January–February nights
- Drinking water, hot water and electricity
- Taxes
5. Group size and length of stay
Groups booking several tents, and Kalpwasis staying for weeks, can usually get a better per-night rate than a single tent for one night. Tell the desk your full group and your total nights at the start.
How to avoid booking problems
- Book through someone who can share the camp's exact location pin.
- Get the quote in writing on WhatsApp, with the tent type, dates, inclusions and total.
- Be wary of anyone asking for full payment in advance for a camp you cannot locate.
- Confirm the check-in time on the day before a snan, when roads start to close.
