Quick answer: there are two Kumbhs in 2027 and one in 2028. The Ardh Kumbh 2027 Haridwar runs from 14 January to 20 April 2027 on the Ganga, with Amrit Snans on 6 March, 8 March and 14 April. The Kumbh 2027 Nashik — the Nashik–Trimbakeshwar Simhastha on the Godavari — has its Amrit Snans on 2 August, 31 August and 11 September 2027 (12 September at Trimbakeshwar). The Kumbh 2028 is the Ujjain Simhastha on the Kshipra, from 27 March to 27 May 2028.

Kumbh snan dates 2027 Haridwar
Haridwar's Ardh Kumbh opens on Makar Sankranti, 14 January 2027, and closes on Chaitra Purnima, 20 April 2027. The Uttarakhand government has announced ten bathing days. The busiest are the three Amrit Snans — 6 March (Maha Shivratri), 8 March (Somvati Amavasya) and 14 April 2027 (Mesh Sankranti / Baisakhi) — when the akharas process to Har Ki Pauri. Kumbh 2027 Nashik date
The Nashik–Trimbakeshwar Simhastha opens with the flag hoisting (dhwajarohan) at Ramkund and Trimbakeshwar on 31 October 2026 and closes on 24 July 2028. The dates that matter for most pilgrims are the three Amrit Snans in the 2027 monsoon: 2 August, 31 August and 11 September 2027 at Ramkund in Nashik, with the third Trimbakeshwar snan on 12 September. Kumbh 2028: Ujjain Simhastha
The Kumbh 2028 is the Simhastha at Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh, from 27 March to 27 May 2028. Pilgrims bathe in the Kshipra at Ram Ghat and the surrounding ghats and take darshan at Shri Mahakaleshwar, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. It is a summer Kumbh, so plan snans for early morning. Why the places rotate
The Kumbh is held at four places — Haridwar, Prayagraj, Nashik–Trimbakeshwar and Ujjain — with the timing set by the positions of Jupiter and the Sun. Each place hosts a full Kumbh every twelve years; Haridwar and Prayagraj also hold an Ardh (half) Kumbh in between. Prayagraj's last Maha Kumbh was in January–February 2025, so the next Kumbhs are Haridwar and Nashik in 2027 and Ujjain in 2028.
